IPAM Breakfast Meeting – February 1, 2019
Working in Extreme Cold / Hot Temperatures
As our Manitoba climate varies from -35 winter temps to + 35 summer temps, employees struggle with proper hydration, warmth retention and extremes ranging from heat exhaustion to frostbite. Presentation will summarize each of the scenarios, symptoms and first aid and prevention.
What you will learn:
Awareness of seasonal work environmental changes and the hazards associated with each
Who Should Attend:
Management / employees that work in an outdoor environment year round and are exposed to extreme weather changes. Or anyone interested in this topic.

Supervisor and Joint Health and Safety Rep
Brian has been with Gerdau for 7 years. His position as a “Routine Facilitator” requires the flexibility to fill in as a supervisor when required as well as coordinate various safety related tasks such as procuring PPE, employee training, and coordination of safety presentations.

Member Registrations – Members who register and do not attend will be charged $25. Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without penalty.
Non-Member Registrations – Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without charge. If cancellation is not received by the specified time frame the fee of $25.00 is applicable.
