Notice of Annual General Meeting and Breakfast Session – June 4, 2021

The IPAM Annual General Meeting will take place from 7:30 am to 8:00 am on June 4th via ZOOM. Due to COVID-19, we are amalgamating the 2020 and 2021 AGM’s. The AGM will be followed by an education session with Wayne Donnelly on the topic of Counterweight Fall Arrest Systems – Are They a Viable Option? See below for all the information.

ABOUT THE SESSION:
Wayne will explore the option of selecting counterweight systems as a possible, viable option when choosing fall arrest systems for use in our workplaces.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Wayne Donnelly
is President of Tuff Safety Solutions Canada Ltd. and has been assessing, developing, implementing, and delivering Fall Protection, Scaffold and Confined Space programs for over 31 years! He has been a member of the Canadian Standards Association since 2003 and is currently Vice-Chair – CSA Z259 – Fall Protection, Chair – TSC Z259.17 – Selection and Use of Active Fall Protection Equipment, Chair – Z797 – Code of Practice for Access Scaffold and voting member – CSA Z1006 – Management of Work in Confined Spaces committees.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
– Recognize fall arrest systems do not always have to be fixed.
– Identify advantages of counterweight versus fixed fall arrest systems.
– Understand some advantages of counterweight systems.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Transportation sectors (rail, road, air, marine), construction industry, mechanical repair organizations, manufacturing facilities, grain companies, food processing companies, municipal and provincial facility and structure maintenance organizations, business owners, managers, supervisors, procurement/purchasing personnel, safety supply companies, regulators, and fall protection users.

SCHEDULE:
7:15-7:30 a.m. – Logon to ZOOM – Link will be provided closer the date of the meeting.
7:30-8:00 a.m. – Annual General Meeting
8:00-9:00 a.m. – Presentation and Q & A
9:00 a.m. – Wrap-Up

FEES:
Members – No Charge
Non-Members – $25.00 (GST is not applicable)

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Non-Member Registrations – Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without charge.  If cancellation is not received by the specified time frame the fee of $25.00 is applicable. Substitutions are welcome.
