Aging Worker Injury Prevention and Accommodation

With the aging demographic in Canada climbing quickly and with older workers choosing to postpone retirement, injury prevention and accommodation efforts need to focus more on this important group of workers. This 1-day, 2-part workshop focuses on injury prevention and workplace accommodations issues related to the aging worker. Employer considerations are discussed from safety, people services, and disability management perspectives to help organizations better hire, support and accommodate these valuable employees.

-RTW Legislation and Human Rights Obligations

-Tip and Tools for Successful Aging Worker Return to Work Experience

-Mental health, Cognitive, and Physical disability accommodations

-Group Activity- Scenarios

-Building Jobs for older workers

-Resources for Aging Worker RTW

Cancellation Policy:

Member Registrations – Members who register and do not attend will be charged $30.  Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without penalty.

Non-Member Registrations – Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without charge.  If cancellation is not received by the specified time frame the fee of $30.00 is applicable.

No Shows – Those who register and do not attend, are liable for the entire fee.
