This session will be an overview of the Working at Heights Training Standard developed by The Working at Heights Committee, the scope of which is to outline the minimum requirements for working at heights training programs in Manitoba. The format and structure of the training may vary and may be customized by the training provider to address specific needs of different industries; however, the overall purpose of this standard is to provide workers with the knowledge of fall hazards, general safety practices for working safely at heights, and knowledge regarding the purpose and use of personal fall protection equipment.

The session will cover the requirements trainers must meet to offer training that meets this standard and we will review the structure of the training that will be provided. We will also introduce how CSAM will be providing members information on trainers that offer training that will meet this standard.

What you will learn:
– What are the requirements to train to this standard?
– What will this training look, what will it cover?
– How will I know if I am hiring a trainer who meets this standard?
