ABOUT THE SESSION:
This session will highlight the desired need to “assess before you press” ahead and select, purchase, create and instruct on anything and anyone on work at heights!
The purpose of this session is to understand the principles of establishing and maintaining a thorough and complete work at heights program following the principles created within CSA Z1009 – Management of Work at Heights Standard.

- Well-seasoned workers, supervisor, instructor, training manager, consultant, business owner with over 52 years of experience working at heights.
- Chair CSA Standard Z259 Technical Committee for Fall Protection
- Chair of the CSA Z1009 – Management of Work at Heights
- Chair of the CSA Z797 – Code of Practice for Access Scaffolds
- Member and former Vice-Chair – CSA Z1006 – Management of Work in Confined Spaces
- Founder and former owner of New Heights Industries and Founder and owner of Tuff Safety Solutions Canada Ltd.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Identifying the need for complete fall hazard assessments with recommendations for solutions!
- Matching the solution to the hazard!
- Matching the development of safe work procedures to the specific solutions and equipment identified in the fall hazard assessment phase.
- Identifying learning objectives based on the specific solutions and equipment identified in the solution phase.

FEES:
IPAM Members - No Charge
Non-Members - $45.00/person
Students - $25.00
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Non-Member Registrations – Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without charge. If cancellation is not received by the specified time frame the non-member fee of $45.00 is applicable. Substitutions are welcome.
If the non-member joins IPAM within a month of this meeting, the $45 fee will be applied to the cost of membership.
