This session will include:
i. Brief review of Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Legislation
ii. Fundamentals of Occupational Hygiene
iii. Chemical Exposure Standards
iv. How to develop sampling strategies
v. Personal Protective Equipment
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Joey Bellino and Paul Martins (Certified Industrial Hygienists)
AIHA is the association for scientists and professionals committed to preserving and ensuring occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) in the workplace and community. Manitoba chapter has Industrial/Occupational Hygienist from both the private and public sectors in the province.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Increase awareness on occupational exposures and discuss their controls in workplaces.
- Create interest in the field of Industrial/Occupational Hygiene.
- Provide awareness on the activities of AIHA and discuss the benefits of joining the Manitoba chapter.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Employers, business owners, management, workers and everyone from various industrial settings, in the private and government sectors.

7:30 am Registration Opens
8:00-9:00 am - Session
9:00 am - Close
FEES:
IPAM Members - No Charge
Non-Members - $45.00/person
Students - $25.00
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Non-Member Registrations – Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without charge. If cancellation is not received by the specified time frame the non-member fee of $45.00 is applicable. Substitutions are welcome.
If the non-member joins IPAM within a month of this meeting, the $45 fee will be applied to the cost of membership.
