Get in the know on Working at Heights and in Confined Spaces

This session will cover:

•             Fundamentals of Confined Space Entry (CSE) – regardless of province, this segment includes program development, and implementation, including exploration of CSA Z1006:16 (R2020) Management of work in confined spaces requirements, and program alignment.

 •             Gas Detection Made Easy (GDME)– This portion will focus on educating the participant on key concepts of gas detection applicable to any gas detection user. From examining gas detection fundamentals and atmospheric hazard identification,  including examples of real-world applications. Additionally, it provides insights into gas sensor technologies, sampling procedures, and an exploration of the world of connected safety.

•             Fall protection (FP), regardless of province, focuses on program development and implementation; with an look at the latest CSA standards and applications for Leading-edge and understanding, SRL inspections, and recertification.

•             Conversation on “stop the drop”, the prevention of dropping tools with a look at program development, systems, and applications, including insights from the ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 Standard for tethering and container equipment that’s designed for dropped object prevention.

John is a Safety professional and CRSP with over 20 yrs of experience.  As a former Corporate Safety Manager, Auditor and Consultant. John now works for Grainger in a consultative manner, working with hundreds of customers in various industries all over Canada.  His goal is supporting their safety programs from the ground up, and their number one priority of keeping their people, property and business safe, while preventing and reducing multi-level loss and costs.  With this, providing practical boots-on-the-ground skills, coupled with classroom education allows john to strategically support with knowledge, assessments, program development and product evaluation and selection.

John firmly believes that the foundation of any safety program is education…where after all “you don’t know what you don’t know” and hopes that today's presentation puts you more in the know …than yesterday… while Keeping it Simply Safe (KISS)

Non-Members - $45.00
Students - $10.00
GST is not applicable.


CANCELLATION POLICY:

Non-Member Registrations - Cancellations received at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event date are accepted without charge. If cancellation is not received by the specified time frame the non-member fee of $45.00 is applicable. Substitutions are welcome. If the non-member joins IPAM within a month of this meeting, the $35 fee will be applied to the cost of membership.
