What about Lone Worker Safety? What we as employers need to know to ensure our staff are fully protected

Annual General Meeting will be held from 7:30-7:55 am. See schedule below.

Friday, June 2, 2023 – Annual General Meeting and Presentation

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION

Why is Working Alone one of the greatest risks to Employee Safety that often gets ignored?

Join us to learn more about the hazard most of us face every day, and yet one that often we as employers do the least about. Most employees work alone, often for hours per day, but it’s a hazard that often is overlooked during the development of a comprehensive and complete safety management system (SMS).

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  1. Several scenarios that you could find yourself in, and the risks you or your employees could face when Working Alone.
  2. You’ll learn about Manitoba’s and other provinces’ Working Alone Legislation, their impacts on employers in many different industries, and the legal consequences if people are not protected.
  3. We will also cover three key areas critical to managing this hazard and highlight what employers can do to reduce risk and meet the regulatory requirements.

In summary – How do we ensure timely is provided to someone working alone or in isolation. This session will provide you with a good understanding of Working Alone legislation and the steps to take to not only protect your business but more importantly, protect your employees! Note: Electronic handouts/ informational content video will be available and can be shared with participants by providing a valid email.
