Asbestos and You
This session will include background on Asbestos, Regulations and Bulk Sampling. This session provides an overview of what asbestos is, what regulations are applicable, bulk sampling requirements, and how to collect the sample and read the lab report.
Jason Combe
Manager, Hazardous Materials
Pinchin Environmental – Winnipeg, MB
As the manager of hazardous materials at Pinchin Environmental’s Winnipeg office, Jason Combe brings over a decade of experience in hazardous materials assessment, control and management to the office’s broad range of clients. His unique background and skill set give him an advantage in offering clients problem-solving strategies that combine in-depth knowledge with a hands-on, practical approach. A member of the Pinchin Environmental team since 2005, Jason has provided extensive consulting and inspection services for a wide range of projects, ranging from short-term abatements to a large-scale office complex, health care and education facility operations. Prior to joining Pinchin, Jason was with a contracting firm specializing in hazardous materials remediation. As a contractor working on numerous projects in the residential, industrial and commercial fields, he specialized in asbestos remediation while also handling and removing other hazardous materials including moulds, lead and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) light ballasts. Jason also gained invaluable experience with hazardous materials and their controls during his early career as a nuclear, biological and chemical non-commissioned officer with the United States Military.
