Dave has worked with the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba for over 14 years and has extensive experience in the case management field. Over the past decade Dave has held positions as a Case Management Representative, Adjudicator, Case Manager, and more recently as a SAFE Work Coordinator focusing on assisting Manitoban companies in the manufacturing section build stronger and more effective safety & health and return to work programs.

Kim Roer is an Occupational Therapist and is the Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program (MIPP) Coordinator at St. Boniface Hospital. With over 16 years experience in work injury management, Kim’s focus is on the prevention and management of musculoskeletal injuries in the workplace.
She is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of various ergonomic programs such the Minimal Lift Program for patient handling, office ergonomics and Physical Demands Analysis as well as providing ergonomic assessments, consultation and numerous education/training sessions. Kim will discuss the issues associated with MSI prevention in healthcare and best practice for injury prevention with a focus on the Safe Patient Handling Minimal Lift Program. |
